Chloe's Story

Chloe and dad, Sam

We got Chloe from East Tennessee Border Collie Rescue about a month and a half ago. It's hard to believe that it has only been that long because now we can't imagine life without her. Simply put, she is everything we would ever want in a dog. Very affectionate, but not needy or annoying. Active and playful, but not hyper or destructive. We are having a terrific time with her.

She is really well-behaved (in fact, we live in an apartment building and our next-door neighbor told me the other day that she had been a little worried when we got Chloe, but that she had been amazed by how pleasant and well-behaved she is.) We certainly understand that many Border Collies would not be amenable to apartment living, but Chloe's lower key personality has been a perfect fit for our lifestyle. We go running with her almost every morning (after which she is much less tired than we are!) and she seems equally happy to go for a run, go to the park, or simply lounge around the house.

We also just completed an introductory obedience class, where she was the undisputed star student. She walks, sits, stays, and comes with the best of them!

We can't overstate how wonderful it has been to have Chloe in our lives and how grateful we are to Karen Lively and East Tennessee Border Collie Rescue for getting us all together. It's just incredible how attached we've become to her in such a short period. Thanks!
