This is Zack, an attractive tri colored smooth coat border collie or close mix. Zack is a young dog, not yet a year old, and he is neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.
Zack takes a little time to warm up to people, and is a little tentative of strangers, but he is totally non aggressive and does give kisses once he gets to know you.
He is excellent with other dogs, is very good in a crate, and so far has not had an accident in the house. He walks well on a leash and is an athletic dogs who would be excellent as a sport dog; working on obedience, agility, frisbee or other canine sports would also greatly increase his confidence.
This boy has a strong herding instinct when he is around livestock. He does not seem to be a car chaser and is not obssessive about it, but when he is around sheep he is "all business"; consequently, he does not need to on a farm or around livestock. He is a very fast dog and would be a nuisance around stock.

Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
