Zipper

Back to Adoptables

images/zipper1_710.jpg

Here is Zipper! Zipper is a lovely black and white female purebred Border Collie. She is about a year old and will be the perfect companion for an active person or family. She is extremely active, engaged and willing. Zipper would love to be trained to do something as part of the family. If her job is to go for a run or play Frisbee or learn agility or play with a tennis ball or all of the above, this girl will be happy!

images/zipper2_710.jpg

Zipper hasn’t met a human or dog she didn’t like. If you have a home with pets, she would probably do best with other dogs that are active and like to play. She has also has seen our cats and has shown a curious interest in them, but has not been aggressive toward them.

A previous or current Border Collie owner who is looking for their next Border Collie would be a good place for Zipper, or a family that wants their first Border Collie and understands the needs of the breed.

She is heartworm negative and house trained, and crate trained and will be spayed before adoption. She will respond well to consistent training and a routine.

Please note that as a policy ETBCR does not place puppies in families with children under 6 years of age, as border collies and border collie mixes can be very reactive to the movements of small children.

Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
