Libby
Back to Adoptables
Libby is a very pretty, curly, rough coat red and white female Border collie or very close mix. Libby, short for “Liberty Belle”, is a very special girl and has made a lot of changes since she was rescued. The vet has estimated her age at about 7, and we believe that she was kept crated for most of that time. There were many new experiences that she gradually got familiar with, and has now integrated in with her foster siblings very nicely. She is a very low key lady, extremely sweet, and loves to get attention. She is still somewhat timid around new people, but warms up when she realizes you want to scratch her neck and talk sweetly to her. She has been weaned from her crate, and now enjoys sleeping on a dog bed near her foster parents at night.
We think Libby would be happy in a home where she is the only dog, or with another mature adult dog. Since she is timid in new situations, it may take patience with Libby to help her adjust. She is a very happy and well behaved girl. She knows basic commands, and has very good recall.
Libby has been spayed, is housetrained, and is up to date on her shots. She is microchipped, and is on heartworm and flea prevention.

Please note that as a policy ETBCR does not place puppies in families with children under 6 years of age, as border collies and border collie mixes can be very reactive to the movements of small children.
Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
