Iva is a classic black and white medium sized 8-year old Border Collie . She is a sweet girl who loves human contact.
Due to her easy-going temperament, Iva would be fine as a house or apartment dog, and she is house trained. Iva will thrive best as an only pet. She sometimes finds interacting with other dogs stressful, especially if she thinks other dogs will get the human attention she wants.
Personality wise, Iva alternates between being shy and goofy. She loves to be petted, get belly rubs and follow her people around. She also can be playful and recently discovered the joy of fetching tennis balls! She knows basic obedience commands, including sit and down and enjoys walking on a leash. She is a bit fearful of camera flashes. She does not like going outside to her business in the rain, but she will go outside on a leash. She is relatively quiet and does not bark during storms. She has been spayed, vaccinated and is heartworm negative.

Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
