Hope
Back to Adoptables
Hope is a wonderfully sweet black and white female senior. While we can’t verify that she has much Border collie in her gene’s, we can most assuredly say that at eleven years old, she is still beautiful, affectionate, and deserving of living out the rest of her years with a loving family.
Hope has been living for quite a while at our veterinarian’s office after she was brought to them as a stray. She was wandering by the side of a busy road without any tags, and she had no microchip. After much effort to find her owner, no one has stepped forward to claim her. Hope was thin, and had lost a lot of fur due to fleas, but she has grown back a beautiful thick coat. Other than showing some grey hairs, you would not think that she was a senior. She is in excellent health, and does not require any kind of medications. She is still being given fish oil which is contributing to the softness of her fur. Hope has a very sweet temperament, gets along well with other dogs, loves to chase a ball, and is still a very spry lady. She can almost always be seen carrying around her stuffed teddy bear gently in her mouth. She is very affectionate, will give kisses, and loves for you to give her some attention.
Hope has been spayed, is microchipped, is up to date on her vaccinations, and is on flea and heartworm prevention. She has also had her teeth cleaned. Hope is housetrained and crate trained.
Hope will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a low-key and loving dog.

Please note that as a policy ETBCR does not place puppies in families with children under 6 years of age, as border collies and border collie mixes can be very reactive to the movements of small children.
Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
