Ava

images/ava1_609.jpg

Meet Ava! Ava is a traditionally marked purebred Border Collie or very close mix. She is between 1 and 2 years old and still very puppy-like. Ava gets along great with other dogs and doesn’t mind cats. She will do well in an environment as a companion dog for a home that already has a dog. A very intelligent dog, Ava is also a good prospect for agility, Frisbee, flyball or just plain daily interaction and play with her new family. Ava will need a fenced yard.

images/ava2_609.jpg

Ava has strong herding instinct so should have an experienced dog owner and children no younger than age 7 in the house. She loves to cuddle with her foster human siblings and loves to wrestle with her foster canine siblings. She is in the same house as the puppy Dobby and if there is interest in getting two dogs, these two would do very well going to the same forever home. If not, Ava would appreciate a home that keeps her very busy with mental and physical stimulation.

This girl is completely house trained, spayed, microchipped and on heartworm and flea preventative. Ava is also crate trained and walks well on a leash.

Please note that as a policy ETBCR does not place puppies in families with children under 6 years of age, as border collies and border collie mixes can be very reactive to the movements of small children.

Prior to or upon adoption, all dogs in our rescue program are spayed/neutered (there are NO exceptions), fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, started on heartworm prevention, treated with flea and tick preventive, microchipped, and temperament tested. We also strive to crate and house train each dog before placement.
